W. Laverne Williams, age 78, of Sheridan died, Monday, Nov. 22, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospice in Hot Springs. She was born on April 4, 1932 to the late Dyer and Althea Veasey Epnett. Mrs. Williams was a member of the Southwest Missionary Baptist Church of Hot Springs and enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son, Michael Hall Williams; brother, Dewayne Epnett and sister, Freda Epnett Ruddell. She is survived by her husband, Tola Williams of Sheridan; daughters, Kelley (Dan) Bost and Karen Williams Adams; grandchildren, Dr. Amy Adams, Neil Adams, Natalie Cook, Cole Shuffield and one great-grandson, Cash Cook. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville with Brother Don Goodman officiating. Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 from 6–8 p.m. Interment will be in Philadelphia Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Hospice at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hot Springs.
