Leonice Bundy Bailey Arnold, 89, of Benton passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2010. She was born in Hope, Ark. March 17, 1921 to Leon and Jett Fooshee Bundy. She was a Life member of the UMW at Benton First United Methodist Church were she was a member of the Dorcus Sunday School Class and DMA. Over the years, she participated in many church and social activities. During her working years, she was bookkeeper for the Hope Star newspaper, later moving to Little Rock where she worked many years for the Secretary of State's Office beginning as Financial Director for Kelly Bryant and ending her career with proof-reading the Acts of the Legislature every two years until her retirement. Mrs. Arnold was an avid gardener and an excellent cook. She also loved to travel with friends and spent many years traveling to places in the United States and other countries. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her independence, her generosity, and her positive attitude. Mrs. Arnold is preceded in death by her son W.D. (Dub) Bailey, her husband, Herbert Arnold, and three brothers, Newt, Bill, and Jack Bundy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Harrison of Prescott; one brother, Bob Briant Bundy, of Palm Desert, California; a step-daughter, Judy Sweet, of Rail Road Flats, Calif.; and one step-son, Jim Arnold of Benton; two grandchildren, Sally Kalkbrenner (Mark) of White Hall, and Matt Harrison (Allison) of Springfield, Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Kayla and Elisabethe Kalkbrenner, and Shelby and Patrick Harrison, two very special cousins, Bill Tom Bundy and wife Frances, formerly of Benton, and Bill Eason and wife, Lucy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a very special friend, Frances Raley and her husband, Dave. Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Benton, with Rev. David Jones and Rev. Robert Cloninger II officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. Memorials may be made in her memory to First United Methodist Church, 200 N. Market St., Benton, Ark. 72015; or to Saline Memorial Hospice House, 23157 I-30, Bryant, Ark. 72022. Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Mt.
