Mattie Ruth Craig

Mattie Ruth Craig, age 75, of Lake Village, died Sunday, November 28, 2010, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. She was born April 29, 1935 in Boydell, the daughter of the late Jack Thomas Ferguson and Susie Dungan Ferguson and was an administrative secretary for Lakeside Public Schools and a member of Bayou Mason Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Ronnie Craig of New London, Texas; two daughters, Rebecca Smith of Hamburg and Linda Nance of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, J.M. Ferguson of Collins and Harvey Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a sister, Vera Knobloch of Monticello, Mississippi; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010, at Bayou Mason Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Bayou Mason Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
