Clyde Eugene Bell, age 92, died Sept. 30, 2010. He was born June 3, 1918 to Oscar and Eva Mae Bell. Mr. Bell was a member of First Christian Church, retired farmer, member of Turner Neal Hunting Club, Board of Directors of Riceland Foods, an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Mr. Bell is preceded in death by parents; his wife, Gertrude Phillips Bell; brothers, Roger Bell, Harold Bell, and Ephffous Bell. Survivors include son, Robert "Bob" Bell of DeWitt; daughter, Joan Bell McFerrin of Almyra; brother, Claude Bell of Gillett; four grandchildren, Rebecca Herman of DeWitt, Hoyt (Janee) McFerrin of Almyra, Kim (Pete) Pettit of DeWitt, Paige (Brian) Shook of DeWitt; five great-grandchildren, Collin McFerrin, Haston McFerrin, Karrisa Herman, Kailee Kimrey and Torrie Shook.
Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m., Friday at Essex Funeral Home. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct.. 2, 2010 at First Christian Church, with burial in Cedarcrest Memorial Gardens by Essex Funeral Home.
