PRESTON WADE ASHLEY, 86, of North Little Rock, was born Oct. 1, 1923 in Lonoke, Ark., to the lae Thelma Alma Tavorn and Levi Ashley. He departed his life Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by James (Creolia) Ashley, Theodis Cole and Leola Stuart.
He leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Odis Lee Ashley; one sister, Ora Lee Dunn; two daughters, Mary Robinson and Theresa (Elton) Virden; two sons, Purcell (Doris) Robinson and Preston (Nina) Ashley Sr.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Jo Ann Yancy and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, 401 Robert St., in Lonoke, Ark. Family will receive friends during visitation on Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S.
