Herman "Bud" Steed, age 80, passed away in Colorado Springs on Monday, Sept. 27, 2010. He was born on Sept. 24, 1930, in North Little Rock, Ark., to Nelson and Hattie Lee Steed. He served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, retired as a Sergeant First Class and was awarded the Bronze Star for service in Vietnam. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; their son, Terry; two granddaughters, Alexa and Lauren; daughter-in-law, Jeane; sister-in-law, Valerie Hancock of Swindon, England; four nieces, Geraldine Ryall, Tina Lavenia, Stephanie Main and Barbara Satterfield; and his devoted Yorkie, Harry. Disposition will be cremation. Interment will be at North Little Rock, Ark.
