Doris (Weeks) Waymack, 90, of North Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 7, 2010. She was born January 21, 1920 in Jacksonville. She was known for her love of family and friends. She graduated from Jacksonville High School and Capitol City Business College. She worked for AP&L, Memphis Light, Water and Gas and Civil Service, Norfolk, Virginia, until her husband retired from the U.S. Navy, and they moved "home" to North Little Rock. She was a member of Levy Baptist Church. Her commitment to teaching and directing in the Adult Department of the Sunday school named her as an encourager looking for the best qualities in a person. She was also a member of the Gideon Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buck and Margie Weeks; four wonderful brothers, Cassell Weeks, of Jacksonville, Floyd and Lloyd Weeks and Billy G. Weeks, all of North Little Rock; also two precious sisters, Minnie (Weeks) Smith and Velma (Weeks) Matthews of North Little Rock. She is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, W. J. (Dub) Waymack, Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Evelyn Weeks (widow of Lloyd) and Mary Alice Weeks (widow of Bill) and brother and sister-in-law, John and Margie Waymack. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews whom they called "Our Kids." Memorials may be made to Levy Baptist Church, 3501 Pike Avenue, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72118, the Gideons International, 7407 Henderson Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210, or Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday at Levy Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Tiner officiating, Rev. Otto Brown assisting, and nephew Rev. John Matthews giving the eulogy. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
