June Livingston Evans

June Livingston-Evans, 81, of Hamburg, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at the Brookside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Little Rock. Mrs. Livingston was a native of Scott, Ark., and a resident of Hamburg for 59 years. She retired from the Kroger store in Hamburg after 29 years of service and she was a member of the Gardner Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she loved to work in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry David Livingston in 1991; her parents, Charlie and Katie Mitchell Peterson and two sisters, Charlene Peterson Wells and Martha Nell Peterson Fleming. She is survived by a son, David Livingston and wife, Marcey, of Bauxite; a daughter, Kathy Sherwood of Little Rock; two brothers, Freddie Peterson of Pittsburg, Pa., and Bobby Peterson of Hamburg; a sister, Sallye Taylor of Hamburg; two granddaughters, Laura Elizabeth Jackson and husband, Aaron, and Sarah Sherwood and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, CJ and Melynda. Funeral services are 10 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010 in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
