Walter Seibert Jr.

Walter Emil Seibert Jr., age 85, of Houston, Texas, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010. He was born Aug. 7, 1925 in Newark, N.J. Mr. Seibert was a W.W. II Navy veteran, a graduate of MIT and worked as a geologist and was vice president of Chemical Bank in NYC. Mr. Seibert was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and was married in Zion Lutheran Church in Avilla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Emil Seibert Sr. and Johanna Seibert; wife, Lucille Helmich Seibert; one brother and one sister. He is survived by three sons, Walter Emil Seibert III of Florida, Karl Edward Seibert of Benton and Fredrick Daniel Seibert of Kentucky; three daughters, Debra Johanna Morrow of New York; Luana Susan Smith of New York and Dr. Dina Jean Seibert of Kansas; brother, Kenneth Seibert of Maryland; sister, Dorothy Seibert of Florida; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Zion Cemetery in Avilla. Online guest book at www.ashbyfuneralhome.com.
