James A. Corbett, 76, of Sherwood, quietly passed away Thursday morning (October 7, 2010) at his home. Born July 9, 1934 in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Arthur and Osa Corbett of Fort Smith. He was married to his beloved wife of 38 years, Pamela, who died in 2002. James retired several years ago from the Pulaski County Special School district, where he was a diesel mechanic. He leaves behind his daughter, Sharon Dinwiddie and her husband Steve Dinwiddie of Little Rock; his son, Clayton Corbett and his wife Margaret Corbett of Sherwood; his son Damon Corbett and his wife LTC Kimberly Cowen of Memphis, Tennessee; he is also survived by four grandchildren. For those who knew him well, he will be remembered fondly and missed dearly for his kind spirit and sense of humor. A grave side service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Dripping Springs cemetery, Van Buren Arkansas under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home. online tribute: www.ockerfuneralhome.com.
