Terry Lynn Jackson of Drasco, age 33, went on to join our Lord Monday October 11, 2010. He was born on November 2, 1976 in Memphis Tennessee. Terry was a very loving father, husband, son and friend. Terry was truly a "miracle baby", born prematurely with cerebral palsy. He was a "shoebox baby" born at 2.8 pounds and 14 inches long, only to lose another pound after birth. A month later when he was able to leave the hospital he was still only 4 pounds! Doctors seemed sure he would not live and if he did, he would never sit up, let alone walk. Thanks to the efforts of the Shriners and the work and encouragement of his mom, Terry proved them all wrong. He went on to work, drive and father two beautiful children! Although he suffered through numerous operations and daily pain throughout his lifetime, he was always quick with a smile. Terry never met a stranger, loved his sports with the Green Bay Packers being his number one pick. Terry was employed at Saint Jean Industries in Heber Springs and was proud that they took a chance on hiring him with his handicap. He really enjoyed his job and the staff and friends at Saint Jean. Terry is survived by his son, Christian, daughter, Cydney, and wife, Karissa, of Heber Springs; his brother, Michael, of Fayetteville; parents, David and Beckye Lee of Drasco; step-sister and brother, Cortney and Dustin in California; scores of loving friends, relatives and our local motorcycle community. A memorial service will be held in celebration of his life on Friday, October 15, at 6:30 p.m. at the Christian Lighthouse Church located at 8547 Heber Springs Road in Drasco. Memorials may be made in name of the children, Christian and Cydney Jackson, to Heber Springs State Bank or to the Sun-Times.
