J. B. Wright

J. B. Wright, age 87, of Caddo Valley, passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia. He was born on Nov. 15, 1922 in Batesville, the son of the late Bly and Jeffie Russ Wright. J. B. worked as a truck driver for 18 years and as a bus driver for Ouachita Baptist University for 20 years. He managed and operated Pig Pit Barbeque in Caddo Valley for 12 years and later the Pizza Q in Arkadelphia. J. B. was a member of Caddo Valley Baptist Church and a World War II veteran of the United State Air Force. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Doris Pace Wright. He is survived by three daughters, Jana Wright of Caddo Valley, Tona Wright of Arkadelphia and Dona Wright of Midway. The family will receive friends at Welch Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010. A private graveside service will be held with Bro. Marvin Pate officiating.
