Obeta Smith

Obeta Smith, age 81 of Siloam Springs, Ark. passed away Oct. 13, 2010 at the Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark. The daughter of James Franklin Stonecipher and Carrie (Waters) Stonecipher was born Sept. 24, 1929 in Pyatt, Ark. Obeta was a member of the First Baptist Church of Siloam Springs. She was involved in the Senior Adult Bus Ministry. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loyd M. Smith; brothers and sisters, Arlie Stonecipher, Vesta Stonecipher, Elma Burdge, Lavon "Von" Stonecipher and Ima Jean Stonecipher. Obeta is survived by her grandson, Nathan Smith of Siloam Springs; her son Loyd Franklin Smith of Springdale; her daughter, Ladonna Denton and husband James of Rogers; her brother, Virgil Stonecipher of Harrison; her sister, Millie Parsley of Lead Hill; her grandchildren, Carrie Snell and husband Jeremy, Ryan Penner and wife Andrea, Kimberly Daniels and husband Mark and Kristen Cutshall and her eight great-grandchildren and one on the way. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Mike Moore officiating. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Larry Parsley, Jerry Parsley, Bobby Parsley, Scott Parsley, Brent Dees and Rick Crunkleton. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Dees, Wayne Crunkleton, Brad Parsley and Eddie Maddox.
