Cecil Morris Putt

Cecil Morris Putt, age 83, of Hazen, was born August 10, 1927 in the Crossroads Community and died October 18, 2010. He served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII. Cecil was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff and Leona Putt; his eldest son, David Morris Putt; two brothers, J.D. and A.Z. Putt and one sister, Clara Ingle. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ola Phillips Putt of Hazen; three sons, Bo (Francine) Putt of Hazen, Dale (Betty) Putt of Hazen, and Ronald Putt of Lonoke; four daughters, Lyvonne Tucker of Carlisle, Dianne Brewer of Clarendon, Rita Vaughn of Lonoke, and Bertha Putt of Greenbriar; special loved ones, Lynn Taylor, Cathy Gadberry, Dianne Holloway, and David Davis. He was the proud papaw of 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and he had a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday October 19 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the Center Point Baptist Church.
