Roy W. Sullivan

Rev. Roy W. Sullivan Sr, 80, of Bee Branch died October 16, 2010. He was born February 16, 1930 in Vilonia Arkansas to Edward and Lena Ledrick Sullivan. Roy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Burns Sullivan of Bee Branch, Homer and Suzy Sullivan of Conway, Roy and Becky Sullivan Jr. of Morganton, Darlene and Tim Robison of Springfield Mo. and Anita and Bill Igou of Bee Branch. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, a great-grandchild and his sister, Martha Jane Whitten. Roy was a minister of the Assemblies of God and was recognized for over 50 years of faithful service. At the time of his death, he was serving as the pastor of Morganton Community Church. He served as an executive for Guaranty National Insurance Company before he retired in 1995. After retirement in the insurance field, he enjoyed life as a cattleman. He was a member of the Van Buren County Cattlemen's Association and served as its president in 2008 and 2009. He was an active member of the local Lions Club and a board member for the Van Buren County 4-H Club. Funeral Services will be Tuesday October 19, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Bishop- Griffin Chapel in Greenbrier with Rev. Randy Long officiating. Burial will be in the Bee Branch Cemetery. Roy's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday October 18, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Arrangements are provided by Bishop-Griffin Funeral Home of Greenbrier (501) 679-4400.
