Dr. Rita Slutsky, 83, of Little Rock died on Sunday, October 24th, 2010. Born in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, Rita lost her parents and her five siblings in the Holocaust. While at the orphanage, she met her husband of over 61 years, Jacob. Rita practiced Gynecology and Obstetrics for over 38 years in the Soviet Union. She was an exceptional cook and adored her grandchildren. Rita was a warm, loving individual who was willing to help anyone. She loved opening her home to family and friends. Rita instilled her beliefs in her children and was very proud of them. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Jacob, her daughters Maria Fundyler and Galina (Michael) Krupitsky of Little Rock; her grandchildren Olga Fundyler-Tate, Eugene Krupitsky, Gregory Fundyler and Daniel Krupitsky and a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, October 27th, at Temple B'Nai Israel with burial to follow in Jewish Oakland Cemetery in Little Rock with Rabbi Eugene Levy officiating. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to Temple B'nai Israel Vogel Caring and Sharing Fund, 3700 N.
