On October 26, 2010, Jimmy H. Short of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with our Lord! He was born September 7, 1935 to Ruby and Harvey Short of Pangburn. He served two years in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He served on the Beebe Fire Department for twenty-five years and was an x-ray lab technician for over 25 years. Jimmy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, as well as a loving friend.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Luke Short and grandchild, Calvin Short. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rebecca (Becky Short), a daughter, Lisa Lee, son-in-law, Sammy Lee, daughter-in-law, Victoria Short, granddaughters, Sarah Brittain and Stormy Short, and great-grandchildren, Rainey and Layla Brittain.
Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Friday, October 29, 2010, at Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Funeral will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, with burial in Beebe Cemetery. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
