Marguerite Daves, 86, of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010. She was born in Buhl Springs, France to the late Armand and Marguerite Sick Peter. Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Daves; and her brother, Raymond Peter. She was a member of Cedar Heights Baptist Church, Sylvan Hills Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #602. She was a 1938 graduate of Ville De Strasburg High School. She enjoyed working at Oak Grove Elementary school cafeteria, also Kmart pets and garden center. She was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy Stricklen and husband, Bobby of Lonoke, Catherine Middleton and husband, Ted of Little Rock, and Jo Anne Fletcher and husband, Ricky of Hensley; nine grandchildren, Charles Dowlearn, Marguerite Hartley, Rachel Stricklen, Greg Stricklen, Laura Carnley, Tammie Hunn, Susie Mauldin, Ted Walker Jr., and Luke Fletcher; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will at 2 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2010, at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel (501-791-7400) with Reverend Albert Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the funeral home.
