Tuer (Browning) Higgs, 104, a resident of Mayflower, Arkansas for the past 75 years, where she raised her family, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at her home. She was born June 8, 1906, in Pickles Gap, a daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Hall) Browning. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Higgs; her children, Melvin "Buck" Higgs, Corene Hoover, Nadene Shaw, Jesse Higgs; two grandsons, James and Jerry Hoover; and a great-granddaughter, Anna Hudson. She is survived by grandchildren, Peggy Hoover, Judy Turner, Bobby Hoover, Willie Hoover, Deborah Hickman, Penny Shaw, Joel Shaw, Sylvia Landers, Scott Hoover, all of Mayflower; Joyce Teas of Heber Springs; and Sharon Efird of Malvern; 19 great-grandchildren; 27 great great-grandchildren, and a number of nephews and nieces. Graveside service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, with Brothers Terry Turner, Buryl Dycus and Keith Morris officiating. Great-grandsons and great great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Services are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home of Conway. 501-327-7727.
