Hubert W. "Sarge" Pollard, 81, of Ft. Roots, North Little Rock, formerly of Vilonia, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sept. 2, 2010, with his family at his bedside. He loved God, life and his family. He served 22 years in the military, serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a retired master plumber. He was born on May 18, 1929, in Swank, Okla. He is survived by four children, Roberta Mandarich (Nick) of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Bobbie Collins (Ray) and Barbara Goff (Craig), all of Vilonia and Steven Pollard of Conway; and four sisters. He has nine grandchildren, Amy Mandarich of Des Moines, Iowa, Tyler Mandarich (Connie) of Blair, Neb., Jayme Niles (Brian) of Princeton, Minn., Jason Pollard (Laura) of Maumelle, Stephanie Louise (Jason's mother) of North Little Rock, David and Robert Collins, Celeste Fortner (Mitch), Katie and Cody Goff, all of Vilonia. He has four great-grandchildren, Taylor and Nikolas Niles of Princeton, Minn., Carter and Bennett Mandarich of Blair, Neb.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma and two brothers. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock and Ft. Roots, North Little Rock. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Ark., with Chaplin Redd of Ft. Roots VA officiating.
