James Gordon Morris

James Gordon Morris, 82 of Searcy, died Thursday, September 9, 2010. He was born September 19, 1927 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the late Fred and Lona Green Morris. Mr. Morris was a Navy veteran; member of the First Baptist Church in Searcy and was the C.E.O. of the James G. Morris Company, Inc. (Metal Finishing Supplies). He is survived by his wife, Vivian Davidson Morris of Searcy; son, Chris Morris and wife Tonya of Searcy; daughter, Tammie Rhodes and husband Donald of Searcy; two grandchildren, Tyler and Brady Morris of Searcy; one sister, Freeda Akers of Sun Lakes, Arizona. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Searcy.
