Lorene Mince Bianchi

Lorene Mince Bianchi went home to be with the Lord September 9th, 2010. She was born March 8th, 1922 to John Robert and Hattie Blankenship Mince in DeValls Bluff, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother, Mrs. Pearl Mince, her husband of 57 years, Italo Quinten Bianchi (Yank) of Little Rock, Ark., a brother, Ralph Mince of Virginia, two sisters, Eunice Higgerson of Virginia, and Thelma Hutchens of DeValls Bluff, Ark., and three step-brothers Wesley Mason of Ohio, Douglas Mason of Virginia, and Harry Mason Sr. of Biscoe, Ark. She is survived by her sister and loving caregiver Freda Mullin of Norfolk, Virginia, a half-sister, Betty Godair of Little Rock, Ark., and two step-sisters, Marian Wolfe of DeValls Bluff, Ark., Frances Compton of Brinkley, Ark., and several nieces and nephews. Lorene attended and graduated from DeValls Bluff School systems and was salutatorian of her 1939 class. Lorene had a strong love for God and Family. She loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed any neighborhood children that came around. She played a pivotal role in the raising of her niece Cindy. She had an unconditional love that was ever-present and will always be remembered. She enjoyed nature, sewing, shopping for antiques, and her Tyler Street Baptist Church potlucks. She loved the family farm in DeValls Bluff, the farming industry, and talking about "The Good Ol' Days". A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, September 11th at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 West 12th Street, conducted by James Hickman from Tyler Street Baptist Church. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 followed by burial at Rose lawn Cemetery, 2801 Asher Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tyler Street Baptist Church, 501-663-6158.
