Frank Siccardi

Frank John Siccardi, DVM, passed away at his home in Fayetteville on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2010. Dr. Siccardi was born in New York City on April 27, 1935 to Frank and Catherine Siccardi. Dr, Siccardi was a graduate of the University of Georgia Veterinary School, with additional degrees and graduate work at the University of Michigan and Minnesota. He spent two years teaching veterinary medicine at University of Nigeria in Africa after his graduation. Dr. Siccardi was owner and president of Coenco, Inc., a local manufacturing company of environmental control equipment for industry and food processing companies which he invented and patented. He came to Fayetteville in the 60's as a research scientist for Campbell Soup where he established his facilities at Farmington. Among his many honors was being named Arkansas Small Businessman of the Year in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty Caulk. He is survived by his wife Linda; two sons, John and wife Jennifer of Little Rock, Ark., Garry and wife Donita and children Hannah and Zach of Van Buren, Ark.; one daughter, Jodi and husband Terry Tomlinson and children Owen and Will of El Cajon, Calif.; step-son, Mark Wright and wife Kelly of Fayetteville, Ark. and children Kristen Heffington and husband Mark and daughter Zoey of Conway, Ark., and Brynn Wright a senior at the U Of A; step daughter Molly Clark and husband Travis, and children Suannah, Kody, and Klayton of Fayetteville. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 17 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the doctors and nurses of Washington Regional Hospice and Highland Oncology especially Dr. Malcolm Hayward.
