Kennita Kay Staggs Byrd

KENNITA KAY STAGGS BYRD, 53, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away Friday, Sept. 10, 2010. She was born Oct. 30, 1956, in Little Rock. Kennita valued her family and friends, but was most proud of her son, Kenton, when he graduated from UALR with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. She also loved to brag about the coming of her first grandson who will be making his appearance to the world in January of next year. We know she will be watching from above over "Alexander David Byrd" as soon as he makes his arrival. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth E. Staggs. Survivors include her husband of 27 years, David W. Byrd; her son Kenton and his wife, Racheal L. Byrd of Bryant; her mother, Dodie Staggs of Little Rock; three brothers, Kendall Staggs and his wife Dorothy of White Hall, Korey Staggs and his wife Melinda of Little Rock, and Kelton Staggs of Little Rock; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her greatly. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy 5 North, Alexander (501-455-1067).
