Mary Louise Welch

Mrs. Mary Louise (Gore) Welch, 72, of Conway, Ark., passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, in Little Rock, Ark. She was born April 18, 1938, a daughter of the late Claude C. and Avis (Graham) Gore. Mrs. Welch was also preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Leigh, who died in 1988, and her brother, Bobby G. Gore. She was a member of Harlan Park Baptist Church, in Conway, and was active in the AWANA. She was retired from what is now Rhodes and Associates, as a customer service agent. One of Mrs. Welch's long-time, favorite hobbies was quilting. Survivors are her husband of 52 years, Howard H. Welch of Conway; her children, Randy Welch of Conway, Valerie Marley and husband Tommy of McEwen, Tenn., Charlie Welch and wife, Claire of Sherwood; grandchildren, Brittany Leigh Marley, Brandon Thomas Marley, Taylor Welch; sisters, Maxine Salkeld of North Little Rock, Sue Staggs of Atkins, Pat Wilson of North Little Rock; and a number of nephews and nieces. Visitation will be 6–8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, at Harlan Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Memorial Park, North Little Rock, under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. 501-327-7727.
