Helen Davis (Sales) Mack

Helen Davis (Sales) Mack of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Little Rock passed on Sept. 7, 2010. Helen graduated Dunbar High School and received her undergraduate degree from Arkansas AM&N (now UAPB) and was the first African American to complete a Masters in Physical Education at the U of A and a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist. Helen taught Health and Physical Education at various schools including Horace Mann High School and was an athletic director at Dunbar Recreation Center. Survived by: daughters, Barbara Medlock of Atlanta, Ga. and Marian Coleman of Charlotte, N.C.; brother, Judge L. Clifford Davis of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren; one great-grand and other relatives and friends. Home going services Friday, Sept. 17th, at Roger Williams Baptist Church, Los Angeles, Calif.
