Kathleen Burris Shirron

Kathleen Burris Shirron, 86 of Hensley, passed away on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010. She was born in Woodson Arkansas to the late William and Barbara Burris. Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Shirron, Sr., brothers Floyd, Ralph, George, and Howard Burris, sisters, Irene Murry, and Barbra Jo Wages. She spent her life making a home for her family. She retired from the US postal service and loved her work with the Pulaski County Extension service. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, sewing, and taking care of others. She was a lifelong active member of Lone Pine Missionary Baptist Church of Hensley, Ark. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Clyde Carl Jr. and Dianne Shirron of Hot Springs, Gordon and Decie Shirron of Russellville and Linda and Bob Dupras of Little Rock; her brother Homer Burris; her sisters Kathryn States and Betty Jane Smith; her grandchildren Tracey and Lance Shirron, Kelli and Lem Boylston and their son Brody, Blake and Hallie Shirron and their daughter Ella McCotty, Jon Shirron, and Kathy and Kevin Dupras as well as a host of extended family and friends, all who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Woodson Cemetery with Douglas Burris officiating. Visitation with family will follow service at the family home in Hensley.
