Charles Edwin Brown

Charles Edwin Brown, age 70 of Benton, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at his home. He was born in Higden, Arkansas on January 4, 1940 to his parents Truman Sr. and Nancy Staley Brown. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed greatly. In addition, he was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, an avid golfer and was a big Yankee's fan. Survivors include his three daughters, Kathy Thomas (Randy) of Benton, Arkansas, Brandi Lem (Bryan) of Sheridan, Arkansas and Missy Brown and her husband Chris Rood of Benton, Arkansas; his brother, Grady Brown of Higden, Arkansas and three grandchildren, McKenzie and Mary Lem and Emily Thomas. In addition, he is survived by his niece, Nanette Grimes who was like a daughter to him along with other numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Chris Brown, two sisters, Fern Grimes and Renee Brown, and one brother, Truman Brown Jr. A Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home, 10200 Hwy. 5 North, Alexander, Arkansas (501) 455-1067 with Brother Ken Graham officiating.
