Anneliese Rodis

Anneliese Rodis went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on Jan. 31, 1922. She was always the perfect wife, mother and a genuine lady. Everyone who knew her loved her. Her husband, children and grandchildren were her whole world. Her warmth and special gift of love will be cherished and missed by all. She is preceded in death by her sister Gertrude Taylor. She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband of 62 years, George; sister Margot Kline (Burnsville, Minn.); six children, George Jr. (Newport News, Va.), Steve and wife Annemarie (Yorktown, Va.), Nancy Bowen (Barbados), Gary and Sonjia (Charles Town, W. Va.), Ann Spriggs and husband Max (Little Rock, Ark.) and Michael (Madison, Ala.); and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 20, 2010 between the hours of 6-7:30 p.m. followed by a memorial service until 8 p.m. at the Deltona Memorial Funeral Home, 1295 Saxon Blvd, Orange City, Fla. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla., on Sept. 21, 2010 at 2:30 pm.
