Marvin Terry Welch Jr.

Marvin Terry Welch Jr. passed away Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Hot Springs, Ark., at the age of 85. Mr. Welch was a World War II veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Welch Sr. and Jewell Welch; a brother, Layford D. Welch; two sisters, Betty Sue Burns and Nin Maria Pevetoe. Mr. Welch is survived by his wife, Martha Welch of McGehee, Ark.; one son, Terry Welch and Sarah of Cloudcroft, N.M.; one daughter, Ann Hill of Hot Springs, Ark.; six brothers, Billy Welch (Rene) of Longview, Texas, Gene Welch (Nan) of Franklin, Texas, Jimmy Lee Welch (Dorothy) of Pine Bluff, Ark., Perry Welch ( Jennie) of New Boston, Texas, Robert Lynn Welch and Larry Welch (Kathy) of Alexander, Ark.; three grandchildren, Donald Hill (Angi), D'Ann Weatherford (Shane) and Heather Burnett (Jared); nine great-grandchildren, Cody and Zach Hill, Michael and Tyler Weatherford, Cooper, Canaan and Campbell Burnett, Travis and Kit Farley; and four great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Monday with Brother Jim Haught officiating.
