Donald Grimes

Donald "Duck" Grimes of North Little Rock passed away on Monday, September 20, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 72. He was born in Marlow, Oklahoma on October 19, 1937 to Fate and Edna Grimes. He was preceded in death by his father, Fate Grimes of Portales, New Mexico; brothers, Bobby Grimes, of Portales, New Mexico and David Grimes, of Alamogordo, New Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Grimes, of North Little Rock; mother, Edna Grimes; sister, Glenda Littlefield/Nelson; brothers, Jackie (Trudy) Grimes and Robert (Debbie) Grimes, all of Portales, New Mexico. Duck had many friends in the Marche community and his greatest pleasure was sitting out under trees every afternoon visiting with whoever stopped by. He will be missed by all. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
