Tanny Smith Harper

TANNY SMITH HARPER, age 60, of Little Rock, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at his home. Mr. Harper was born Oct. 14, 1949 in Pine Bluff, Ark., the son of James K. Harper and Bureata D. Harper. He grew up in Pine Bluff and graduated from high school there. His graduate education was from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He was a retired employee of the State of Arkansas. Mr. Harper is survived b y his brother, James M. Duckett and wife, Cherry of Little Rock; a niece, Stacy Duckett of North Little Rock and nephew, Scott Duckett of Little Rock. He is also survived by a stepdaughter, Tammy Rye of Ewing, Ky. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harper was preceded in death by his wife, Pam. Prior to his death, Mr. Harper had donated his remains to UAMS for research.
