Lill Pearson

Lill Pearson, age 91, of Lake Village, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Chicot Memorial Medical Center in Lake Village. She was born July 11, 1919, in Burdett, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Isaac Mangrum and Dora Underwood Mangrum. She was a Chicot County resident since 1954 and was a member of the Lake Village Church of Christ. She had been a lady welder during WW II, a school cafeteria manager, owner and manager of a Dairy Queen, a member of the Extension Homemakers Club for 70 years, a member of the Chicot County Fair Board for 20 years and one of the founders of and a Board Member of Fawnwood Community Center. Her husband, Don Pearson Sr. to whom she was married for 61 years, preceded her in death. Survivors are three sons, Paul Pearson and wife, Myra, of Pangburn, Don Pearson Jr. and wife, Sarah, of Brandon, Mississippi, and George Pearson and wife, Sharon, of Benton; a former daughter-in-law, Linda Moreland of Lake Village; a special friend and caregiver, John Wells of Lake Village; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 24, 2010, at Bishop Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Jennie Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chicot Baptist Church, 744 Lakehall Road, Lake Village, Ark. 71653 of a favorite charity.
