Mary Elizabeth Schenck

Mary Elizabeth Schenck, 86, of Hope, passed away September 22, 2010 in Hope. Mrs. Schenck was born June 12, 1924 in Hope, Ark. to Theodore M. and Daisy E. Cox King. Mary was a retired bookkeeper and member of the First United Methodist Church of Hope. She was also a member of the Primetimers of First United Methodist Church and an Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brack Schenck; her parents, Theo King and Daisy King Atkins. Survivors include, two daughters, Betty Schenck of Hope, Sarah and David Ruffin of Ft. Worth, Texas; two grandchildren, Mary Alice Younger of New Orleans, John Scott and Brandy Wafer of Ft. Worth, Texas. Services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010, 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Hope with Bros. Keenan Williams and Mark Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery, under the direction of Herndon Pharr Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, 6-8 p.m. at Herndon-Pharr Funeral Home.
