Chief Master Sergeant CHARLIE GORDON ROBERSON, age 78 of Jacksonville passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010. He was born Dec. 17, 1931 in Paris, Tenn. to the late Raymond and Polly Lewis Roberson. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Bill L. Roberson. Mr. Roberson was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. He served his country in the Korean Conflict, and served during Vietnam. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 29 years of service in the Titan Missile Program. After he retired from the Air Force, he worked for Orbit Valve for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Alice Marie Brawner Roberson; his daughter, Charlotte Jane Tenorio, and husband "T" of Jacksonville; granddaughter, Chrisana Wooley; great-grandson, Garrett Wooley and great-granddaughters, Caitlynn and Joy Wooley as well as a nephew, John Roberson of Birmingham, Alabama. Special thanks to North Metro Medical Center, Advance Care Hospital in Searcy, Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Little Rock, St. Vincent's in Sherwood, and a special thanks to St. Vincent's Visiting Nurses and Aids. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Research at UAMS, 4301 W. Markham Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205 Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Watt officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be 6–8: Monday, at the funeral home.
