Charlie C. Sefers Jr.

Jonesboro, AR, 1924 - 2010

Charlie C. Sefers Jr., 85, of Jonesboro died Sept. 22, 2010, at St. Bernard's Hospital. He was born Oct. 27, 1924, to Charlie C. Sefers Sr. and Zelma Huggins Sefers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jewel Harper and Frances Margarite Sefers. He proudly served in the Army of the United States during World War II. Charlie was a pharmaceutical representative for Parke-Davis and a deacon of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Arkansas Pharmaceutical Association. Survivors include his wife, Janice Sefers, of the home; two daughters and their spouses, Pam and Terry Baker of Pocahontas and Nancy and Brock Lewandoski of Little Rock; a sister, Lou Walker of Jonesboro; and a brother Bo Sefers of Jonesboro. Grandchildren include Tobin Baker of Berryville, Ark., Jordan Baker of Manassas, Va., Sarah (Ben) Janelle of Russellville, Ark., and Blake Lewandoski of Little Rock; and one great grandchild, Elijah Benjamin Janelle of Russellville. Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church with Bro. Bruce Tippit and Kathy Holler officiating. The interment will be private. Visitation will be from 5-7, Friday evening at Langford-Bookout Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of First Baptist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, H. L. Parks, the Arkansas Pharmaceutical Representatives and Parke-Davis Retirees. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church or the American Heart Association.
