Elihu Stewart, Sr.

ELIHU STEWART SR., 90, of Little Rock, Ark., departed this life on Sept. 19, 2010. He worked for Fort Roots Veterans Administration Hospital for 38 years before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Emma Jean Stewart; one sister, Gracie Mae Hill of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Wyndlyn (Roy) Jackson and Aqua Netta (George) Shelton; two sons, Elihu Jr. (Sandra) Stewart and George (Cindy) Stewart; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many friends. Home going services Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010, 10:30 a.m., Cross Street Christian Church, 1223 South Cross Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave. NLR, Ark.
