Billy K. Bland, age 77, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, September 26th, 2010. He was born May 22nd, 1933 in Beebe, Arkansas to Otis and Bessie Bland. Billy loved spending time with his family and friends outdoors. He was an avid deer hunter, and fisherman, having belonged to the Oak Grove Hunting Club. He was a retired truck driver for O'Neal Steel for over 20 years. Billy was a member of the Morgan Full Gospel Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Tracy Bland; two brothers; and one sister. Cherishing his memory are his wife of 60 years, Mary Bland; one daughter, Terry Tew (Johnny); four sons, Randy, Gary, Dean, and Tony Bland; four grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Poppy", Kelli Lowrey (Brent), Tammy Dillon (Steve), Lindsey King (Matt), and Heath Bland (Carri); seven great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. A celebration of Mr. Blands Life will be 11 a.m., Thursday, September 30th, 2010 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock with Rev. Johhny Tew officiating. The family will accept friends Wednesday, September 29th, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Baptist Hospice, 11900 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. The family would like to give a special thanks to Drs.
