Hobart M. "Nick" Nicholson, Jr., age 84, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010. He was born on January 21, 1926 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Mr. Nicholson was a World War II Veteran of the US Army Air Force. He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1955, with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He retired from both Teletype Corporation and the Arkansas State Department of Finance. After his retirement, he was an avid golfer, and worked for Rebsamen Golf Course. He was a member of Markham Street Baptist Church in Little Rock. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one grandchild, Brent Nicholson. Survivors include his wife, Anna Nicholson of Little Rock; one son, Jan Nicholson and wife, Trulie of New Iberia, Louisiana; one daughter, Nicki Tuttle and husband, Frank of Benton; six grandchildren, Barrett, Blake, Brandon, and Blane Nicholson and Leslie and Andrea Mooney, and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander with Pastor James McClintock officiating under the direction of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton (501-315-4047).
