Marie Elerson

Marie Elerson, 92 of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away Monday September 27th at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Elerson. She leaves to cherish her memories: son, Anthony M. Elerson of Little Rock; grandson Randolph Thompson of Little Rock; great-grandson, Demajay Thompson; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Thompson both of Dallas, Texas; cousins, Vaughn (William) Davis and Joyce Webster of Little Rock; special friends, Sam & Thelma Holmes, Reverend Mamie Wilkins, Leon & Peggy Chitman, Latrece Gray of Little Rock, Michael & Darnica Johnson of Maumelle, William Wilson of Evanston, Ill., Glen & Judy Marrs of Wynne, Ark. She was born February 22, 1918 in Minter City, Miss., her family later moved to St. Louis and then Chicago, Ill. where she met her love of her life, Randolph Elerson in high school. They married in 1938. Their only son Tony was born 19 years later in 1957. The family later moved to Evanston, Ill. in 1969 and on the Little Rock, Ark. in 1985. She loved to read, practice yoga and spend time with family and friends. Family hour will be Wednesday, September 30th, 6-7 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 30th, 11 a.m., at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland, North Little Rock, Ark.
