Robert " Foy" Mitchell

Robert " Foy" Mitchell, 84, of Haskell, died September 26, 2010. He was born December 18, 1925 to the late Caleb and Bernice Mitchell. He was a Church of Christ Minister and did extensive Missionary work in India, Germany and other foreign countries. Foy was a graduate of Harmony Grove High School and Abilene Christian University. He taught school in Alma and Marianne Districts for over 25 years. Foy was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ord, Hugh, Frank and Gordan Mitchell. Survivors, son, John Mitchell, daughter, Rebecca Merriman and brother, Caleb Mitchell. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m., Thursday with burial at Mt. Harmony Cemetery.
