Vernon "Uncle Vernon" "Sly Fox" Cunningham, age 76, of Lonoke, Ark., died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at John L. McCellan Hospital. Vernon leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Brenda C. Cunningham; sons, Vance Cunningham Sr., Nathan (Darlene) Muhammd, Little Rock, Ark., stepson, Lee (Lashawn) Bland of El Dorado, Ark.; a daughter, Veda Cunningham and stepdaughter, Ebony Bland, both of North Little Rock, Ark.; a brother, Ralph Duncan of California; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Homegoing celebration will be 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 6411 Kerr Road, Scott, Ark., (exit 168). Arrangements: Brown's Christian Funeral Service, (501) 244-8000.
