Arvin Mills Jr.

Arvin Mills Jr., 87, of North Little Rock passed away on Saturday, July 30th, 2011. He was born May 3rd, 1924 in El Dorado to Arvin and Eunice Mills. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Mills was a veteran of WW II and received two purple hearts, was a member of the Elks Lodge and served as exalted ruler and was a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his daughter, two brothers and his sister. Cherishing his memory are his wife, Sue Mills; three daughters, Sherry Thresher of Bakersfield, California, Susie Buell of Sun Lake, Arizona, and Billie Redd of Cabot; his son Marvin Mills of Mabelvale; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; three brothers, Wesley Mills, Jackie Mills and Jerry Mills; five sisters, Naomi Smith, Mary Smith, Wilma Shoppach, Diana French, and Martha Wright. A celebration of Arvin's life will be held Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock (501) 835-3515 with Rev. Roy Thompson officiating. The family had received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
