Lonnie Rene Anderson

Lonnie Rene Anderson was born November 13, 1950 to Cassie M. Anderson and the late D.B. Anderson. He departed this life Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the age of 60. His early education was at Fairview High School in 1969. He matriculated to Southern State College in Magnolia, Arkansas where he received his B.A. Degree in Art Education in 1973. He devoted his early years to teaching art before starting work at Great Lakes Chemical Company where he was employed for the past 30 years. Deacon Lonnie Rene united in holy matrimony to Bobbie King-Anderson on March 18, 1978. This union of 33 years produced two children; Wendy Nicole Anderson and Byron L. Anderson. Early in life Lonnie Rene, joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church where he stayed an active member before moving his membership to Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for the past 30 years. He leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Cassie M. Anderson; his devoted wife, Bobbie King-Anderson; a daughter and son; Wendy Nicole Anderson of Atlanta, Georgia and Byron L. Anderson of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Gwendolyn (Joe) Charles and Javonnia Copeland both of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at Louann with burial in New Jerusalem Cemetery.
