Evelyn Callahan

Evelyn Callahan, age 84, of Little Rock, passed away Saturday July 30, 2011. She was the seventh child of J.E. and Faye Buckley of Carlisle, Arkansas. She was married to Ted Callahan of Little Rock who preceded her in death. She was a Bible class teacher, church librarian, and she worked as a volunteer at the University Hospital of Little Rock for over twenty years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was an avid reader, bird watcher, gardener, and volunteer for Family Council of Arkansas. Survivors include two sons, Mr. Michael Callahan of Little Rock, Dr. Douglas Callahan of Conway, and one grandson, Jeffrey Callahan of Little Rock. She is also survived by her brother, Herbert Buckley of Madison, Alabama. Graveside Services will be held at the new Carlisle pavilion at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 5, 2011. Burial will be at the Carlisle, Arkansas cemetery.
