Betty Sachs Prousnitzer of Little Rock died Aug. 5. Betty was born on Feb. 21, 1925 in Memphis, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Lucille Loeb Sachs; her husband, PC Prousnitzer Jr. and her brother, James Sachs. She is survived by her daughter, Harriet Strasberg (Lou) of Memphis, Tenn.; her son, Chuck Prousnitzer (Charlene) of Little Rock; her brother William L Sachs of Memphis, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Phyllis Gregory (Todd) of Switzerland, Jay Strasberg (Jennifer) of Memphis, Tenn., Philip Prousnitzer of New Orleans, La., and Benjamin and Gene Prousnitzer of Little Rock; and her great-granddaughter Ella Gregory. Betty, along with her husband PC founded PC Hardware & Machinery in 1949. She always told people that she started there as temporary help and blossomed into a lifelong hardware jewelry specialist. The family would like to acknowledge the caregivers in her life: Lia, Tommie, Catherine, Roumania, and Rebecca. Private graveside will be followed by a 3:30 p.m., memorial service on Sunday, Aug. 7 at Temple B'Nai Israel. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.
