Betty Leavell

Betty Leavell, 71, of Beebe passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2011. She was born on April 18, 1940 to Gladys and Edgar Hill of Monticello. She was married to Lonnie Leavell of Beebe for 52 years. For seven years, Betty and Lonnie owned The Jean Joint in Monticello. She worked as a book keeper for Davis Feed and Seed. Betty was involved with the Monticello Riding Club and employed by the Drew County Livestock Auction. She worked for B.J. Pierce Lumber Company in Searcy and 19 years for Adesa Auto Auction. Betty is survived by her mother, Gladys; husband, Lonnie; sons, Lannie (Terri) Leavell of Beebe, Todd (Sue) Leavell of Greenbrier; daughters, Lori Leavell of Searcy, and Jodi (Jack) Warner of Conway; grandchildren, Lanni (Eric) Campbell, Labray (Jay) Merkel, Jeff, Josh, Jordan, Kace, John Adam, Brannah, Hunter, and Gage; great-grandchildren, Piper, Paxton, Noah, Ella, and Brooks. Betty is preceded in death by her father, and brother, Bobby Hill. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
