Mary Katherine Bew

Mrs. MARY KATHERINE RICHARDSON BEW, 81, of Little Rock went to be with her heavenly Father Aug. 2, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Lenoy and Lee Ora Richardson. She was last employed by the Economic Opportunity Agency (EOA) of Pulaski County, was director of training and a community organizer. She remained very active in various religious organizations in her church and community working with groups such as ACORN, VIPS, CDC just to name a few. She was preceded in death by her husband Attaway; son, Paul Beasley; daughter, Cassandra Bew; grandsons, Roshaun and Alexander Jordan; granddaughter, Demetria Franklin; one brother, Grover Richardson Sr.; and one sister, Bettye Richardson. Survivors include: her loving children, Helen Jordan, Rodney Bew, Dedra (Anthony) Henderson, Grecia Bew and Carla Franklin; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other special friends. The family hour will be Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 from 6 to 7 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 908 S. Cross St., Little Rock, Ark. Services entrusted to Premier Funeral Home, 1518 S. Battery St., Little Rock, Ark., 72202. "Only Heaven Can Serve You Better."
