Robert Leonard McCauley

Robert Leonard McCauley, 70, of Dermott passed away Saturday, August 6th at his home. Mr. McCauley was born July 4, 1941 in Stuttgart, Ark., to the late Burris McCauley and Anna Whitman McCauley. Mr. McCauley was a retired corrections officer with the Arkansas Dept. of Corrections and a member of the Dermott United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert McCauley Jr. and wife Judy of Lake Charles, La. and Matthew McCauley and wife Janeal of Lake Charles, La.; one daughter, Deborah Patterson and husband Sammy of Dermott, Ark.; two brothers, Thomas McCauley of Charlotte, N.C. and Garry McCauley of Dermott, Ark.; grandchildren, Robin McCauley, Robert McCauley III, Cree Nielsen-Sewell, Dillon Patterson and Kimberley Patterson. Mr. McCauley was preceded in death by a brother, Larry "Bear" McCauley. Memorial services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 9th at the Dermott United Methodist Church with Rev. Terry Lynn Bunnell officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Griffin Funeral Service in McGehee.
