Oneda Lunsford Simmons

Oneda Lunsford Simmons, 92, of Johnstown, Colorado passed away Friday, August 5, 2011. She was born in Guy, Arkansas to the late Emmett Clinton and Mary Elzora Hendrickson Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, G.M. Simmons; four sisters and three brothers. Oneda was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by one son, Frankie M. Simmons (Debbie) of Johnstown, Colo.; one daughter, Marilyn K. Ellison (Terry) Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren, Stephanie Giunta (Joseph), Melissa Foss (Steven), Breanna Simmons, Joey Ellison (Amy), Jeremy Ellison (Allison); and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Erma Hughes; one brother, James Clinton Lunsford (Geneva); and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m.,, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
